The Simple Issues that Make Website Design Effective
In my opinion the best website design projects are the ones that concentrate on the important things and ignore the noise that may be coming at them from all directions. One has to look a specific case of a website to look at the very simple things that can build it to greatness. Perhaps one of the most effective websites on earth is the BBC website and the reason for this is that they have built their processes around simplicity.

That means that the customers who visit the website are met with a very good impression of the products that they are offering. Some might argue that the brand name has a lot to do with the popularity. However I would respond by saying that great brand websites that do not offer a good service are soon left on the shelf and they only receive a limited number of visitors. The truth is that the BBC website has been successful on the back of a very simple but effective formula.

Navigation has to be a priority for the people who are constructing the website design. Without effective navigation the customers cannot move from one part of the website to another. This in turn will limit their ability to make purchases or to get to the detailed information on the website which may have been removed from the home page.  A good website design will have a logical sequence of events that take the consumer to the shopping basket. This is almost like a persuasion line that kicks in when the customer first comes onto the home page. The visitor is then gradually led to the shopping basket through the use of navigational buttons. That is why it is very debilitating to a website not to have a good navigational framework to work with. It is one of the easier parts of website design but the lack of it can cause devastating effects on the website.

Website Usage and Compatibility
The website design should be compatible with the existing technological structures that are found on the website. If it is not compatible then the surfer will not be able to enjoy the full benefits of the website. It might also become difficult to carry out certain complex procedures if the website design is not compatible with the website in the first place. The browser compatibility is an area that has to be carefully considered as part of the process of building the website. Some websites are not fully visible to the public when they load because this problem has not been adequately addressed in the website design.

There is no better way of assessing the effectiveness of a website than by testing it on a fairly regular basis. The website design has to be checked against the original criteria that were agreed when it was first proposed as a project for the webmaster. If it passes these tests then it can be considered to be effective within its terms.
